California Wedding Featured on The Bride's Cafe' Blog!
8-6-08.
I am extremely excited and honored that the wedding I shot of Jen and Mark's California wedding has been featured on The Bride's Cafe Blog. For those you you not familiar with this national blog, it has a HUGE following of blog stalkers and is a fantastic resource for info and ideas for planning your wedding day. In Style Weddings Magazine even named it one of their favorite wedding blogs. This wedding was such a treat because Mark and Jen were so hospitable to me and all of the venders were top notch all the way.

Californ -I-A!
7-21-08.
I travelled out to shoot an AMAZING wedding in Northern California. Don't worry! I'll be posting photos on the blog soon! In the mean time, I thought I would share some of the landscape and nature photos I shot while I was in the area:
Ok this is an obligatory shot since I was in San Francisco. It actually took a bunch of winding roads, a couple of lucky wrong turns, and a lot of walking to get this shot.
This was my mode of transportation during my visit. I started out at the crack of dawn so I could get an early start. The 4 wheel drive came in handy on the windy steep back roads!
You think the price of gas is high in Pensacola? It's peanuts compared to the price in California! This is an example of one extreme station I was forced to buy from because there wasn't another one available for miles! I almost felt like i was Ireland again.
One thing that surprised me is that on my travels along the coast and the parks, I often found myself being the only one in the area even though it was so close to the major cities. I guess it's sort of like people who live in Pensacola and never go to the beach! I'm not complaining though. It was so quite and peaceful. Did I mention no humidity or mosquitos?
It's hard to tell the scale in this photo but I'm actually on the edge of cliff about 8 stories high shooting down.
The tide pools were crawling with all kinds of neat things to oogle at!
This guy was on the beach chillin' in the sun all by himself. I was the only person on the beach so it was easier to get about 8 feet from him. Sure you can see them at the Pier downtown San Francisco or at the zoo, but there is something magical about seeing an animal in its element out in the wild with no barriers between the two of you. This was one of the best parts of my trip. I took about 20 minutes to creep up on this guy but it was totally worth it.
This is my attempt at a self portrait :)
Mary & Pat's Wedding
It was a great complement to me to be hired for this wedding because the Groom is also a fine art photographer. You know he is going to be picky about trusting another photographer to shoot his wedding! ( I know I would!) However, this couple was sooo easy to work with. I was really looking forward to photographing this wedding!
This was the bridal portrait that was on display at the wedding. As you can probably imagine, everyone thought she looked STUNNING in this vintage dress. She told me that her dress was custom made from fabric salvaged from an old hardware store in New Orleans. Yes, a hardware store! Apparently in the old days they used to sell tools AND fabric!
I love this photo because it looks very vintage and complements her dress perfectly.
And here are some highlights from the wedding day:
This ring bearer was unbelievable cute. This was his only expression most of the day but he knew how to work it!
Being cute all day can really wear you out!
This is the groom's father. He passed away shortly after the wedding from cancer. It was a very emotional day for everyone. He was a true fighter. He wasn't going to let cancer stop him from having a good time at his son's wedding.
Stephanie & Chris

These guys from Georgia were just about the nicest people you could possibly meet. It was an absolute pleasure working with them. They had a very intimate wedding and everyone had a great time. Here are just some of the highlights!
Check out thise amazing flowers! Go Fiore!

Natalie & Brandon Wedding
6-14-08.
When I first met Natalie and Brandon I knew they would be an awesome couple to work with. They were so much fun! Natalie is a total closet diva in front of the camera who doesn't know her power. In real life she is about as humble as cab be. As you can probably guess by her bridal photos below, her man completely was blown away!
This is Natalie's reaction to the premier unveiling of her bridal photos. Check out the shower caps on the rest of the girls. They even wore the caps at Hub Stacey's for a drink before arriving!
This is a funny inside joke on whether Natalie should go through with the wedding or not!
Brandon was a real trooper and didn't let his injuries stop him from getting married!
Bridesmaids giving "caged tiger" to the camera!
Brandon signing his life away :)
This is just the begining. Natalie and Brandon both cried through the whole entire ceremony! It was very emotional for everyone.
Old Christ is one of my favorite churches. I love the gorgeous light inside!
Brandon and his brother and sister. These guys get crazy when they are together. I can safely say I've never shot formals like this before!
